T Osborne at Sankofa Art Show

 

Thomas Osborne, a native of Tennessee, attended Cleveland Ohio's Glenville High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio and a Master of Education degree from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio. 

 

He has taught Visual Art in the public schools of Michigan and Ohio.  Guiding young artists in their varied styles and techniques has been rewarding in that many have achieved high levels of success.  His teaching career, along with 8 years as Program Director for Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland, has given T. Osborne forty years of experience and understanding with young minds and their perspectives.

 

T. Osborne has retired from teaching and enjoys painting, photography , golf and fishing.  He has been the proprietor of 3 art galleries:  T. Osborne Dillingham gallery in Detroit;  American Home Accents, Richmond Mall, Cleveland;  and T. Osborne Fine Art Gallery and Gifts, Maple Heights, Ohio. 

His paintings have been exhibited in many Mid-West cities and he has now returned to the South to continue sharing his work with the world travelers that frequent historical Atlanta, GA.

 

Mr. Osborne has a story to tell in most of his paintings and he attempts to educate through his images.  He is inspired by the Bible, Black history, Atlanta's beautiful scenery and it's civil war history.
